Tour Cancellation Policy

Travel arrangements involve advance reservations with hotels, transport providers, and other service partners. Any cancellation leads to operational and vendor charges. Therefore, the following tour cancellation charges will be applicable irrespective of the reason for cancellation.

Cancellation Charges & Guidelines

  • Cancellation 30 Days or More Before Departure – 0% Charges
Guests cancelling their booking 30 days or more prior to the scheduled departure date will not incur any cancellation charges. Any eligible refund will be processed after deducting applicable transaction or service charges, if any.
  • Cancellation Between 29 to 15 Days Before Departure – 25% Charges
If the tour is cancelled within 29 to 15 days before departure, 25% of the total tour cost will be retained to cover hotel reservations, advance vendor payments, and administrative expenses already incurred.
  • Cancellation Between 15 to 8 Days Before Departure – 50% Charges
Cancellations made between 15 to 8 days prior to travel will attract a 50% cancellation fee due to confirmed bookings and non-refundable commitments with service providers.
  • Cancellation Within 8 Days of Departure – 100% Retention Charges
Any cancellation made within 8 days of the departure date will result in 100% retention of the total tour cost, as most services including accommodation, transportation, and logistics would already be fully confirmed and prepaid.

Note: Refund timelines, if applicable, depend on the policies of hotels, airlines, and transport vendors and may take standard processing time as per company guidelines.

Force Majeure & Government Restrictions

In case of unavoidable situations such as:

  • Natural calamities
  • Government shutdowns
  • Pandemic restrictions (including COVID or similar events)
  • Political disturbances or travel restrictions

Golden Tour Operators will issue a Credit Note equivalent to the paid amount, which can be utilized for future travel bookings as per company policy.
